CFB Basecamp

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026 · Last updated: August 24, 2026

CFB Basecamp ("we," "us," or "the site") is a college football schedule and viewing guide published at cfbbasecamp.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we don't ask you to create an account, we don't collect your name or email, and the only data involved comes from the advertising and analytics services described below, plus a few preferences stored in your own browser.

Information we collect

Information you give us. None. The site has no accounts, sign-ups, comments, or forms. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to reply.

Preferences stored in your browser. The site remembers your pinned team, your time zone choice, and any "importance" weights you set. These are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the third-party services below may automatically receive technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it running.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself does not set cookies. Third-party services we use may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as web beacons and device identifiers) to deliver and measure advertising and to measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not affect your ability to use the schedule.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Specifically:

For more about how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic to the site (for example, which weeks and features are used most). Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used before coming here. We use this only to improve the site. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit, not your name or other identifying information. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits by disabling cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links

Some links on the site (for example, links to sportsbooks alongside betting lines) may be affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or make a purchase, we may receive a commission. These links may use tracking cookies set by the affiliate program, governed by that company's privacy policy. See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Third-party data sources

Schedules, kickoff times, television listings, poll rankings, and betting lines shown on the site are compiled from publicly available third-party sources. Displaying this data does not involve collecting anything about you.

How we use information

We use the information described above to operate and improve the site, to display and measure advertising, to understand aggregate traffic patterns, and to protect the site from abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Children's privacy

The site is a general-audience sports publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Betting-related content on the site is intended only for adults of legal age in their jurisdiction.

Your choices and rights

If you are a resident of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws that grant you rights over personal data (such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to opt out of its sale or sharing), you may exercise those rights by contacting us at the address below. Because we collect no personal information directly, most requests will be handled by the third-party services listed above, and we will point you to the right place.

Data retention and security

We retain aggregate analytics for as long as it is useful for understanding the site. Technical logs kept by our hosting provider are retained according to that provider's policies. We take reasonable measures to protect the site, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Links to other sites

The site links to television networks, streaming services, sportsbooks, and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them with any information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
